Notary fees
A notary or notary public is a government agent who witnesses signatures and certifies the validity of documents.
In many financial institutions such as banks and lenders, one or more of the employee is certified as a Notary.
Most states limit the maximum amount a notary can charge, and the notary must provide their price schedule on demand.
Typical fees for notarizing a document are between $1 and $5. Most documents requiring multiple pages notarized, the price is $1 per page.
Additional fees are charged if the notary has to travel to perform their services.
